Letters to a Grandfather Whom I Never Met
,

Installation, 2019

Yael Peri traces biographical connections between herself and her grandfather David Pienaker Bleistift, a Modernist architect who migrated from Vienna to Tel Aviv in 1933. Peri not only reflects on her own biographical path, but also researches the migration and displacement of peoples and ideas on the basis of the urban space of Tel Aviv and Vienna.
