Installation, since 2015

The installation, created during the 2. Berliner Herbstsalon in 2015, counts the time passed since Hiba, a young woman from Damascus, arrived in Berlin. Upon receipt of the official decision about her future permission to reside in the EU, and the move to another EU country that followed, the LED counter stopped at 969 days. The second LED display counts the days since the arrival of Samir from Tripoli in Dresden until the decision on his request for asylum.
