Ida Ślęzak
Ida Ślęzak is an activist and master’s degree student at the University of Warsaw (cultural studies and philosophy). She is a theatre and performance critic, currently associated with Dialog – a Polish theatre and drama magazine. She is an author of both theoretical essays and critiques of various theatre projects. Her research interests include non anthropocentric perspectives in theatre (ecocritical, feminist, queer), relations between art and contemporary philosophy and performance art in the late capitalist economy.
She presents feminist practices of artistic activism in contemporary Poland. Using an example of collective Czarne Szmaty (Black Rags/Sluts) and individuals cooperating with them she discusses strategies of collective resistance and forms of political agency emerging from these activities.
