Eren Keskin is a lawyer and a human rights defender. She is the co-president of the Human Rights Association İnsan Hakları Derneği located in Turkey. Her working areas include the following: sexual violence against women, trans-women and refugee women, racism against non-Turkish and non-Muslim groups, discrimination and violence against LGBTIQ* communities, enforced disappearances, unidentified murders, deaths and torture in custody and prisons, and the Armenian genocide. Since the beginning of her involvement in human rights struggle as a lawyer, she has been subjected to numerous insults, threats, assaults, lawsuits, travel prohibitions and imprisonment. A number of lawsuits opened against her due to her opinions and non-violent activities are still pending.
