Amila Puzić
Amila Puzić is an art historian working in Mostar and Gothenburg. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. Together with Anja Bogojević, she runs the Association for Contemporary Curatorial and Art Practices Mart. She explores issues of socially engaged art and art in public space in former Yugoslavia. Puzić is one of the curators of the Pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 58th Venice Biennale.
She presents the art intervention False stories from the history of Mostar, which was conceived and performed by Abart -an art production platform, working on contextual forms of socially engaged art practices in the ethno-nationally divided city. The intervention addressed eight problematic sites in the city, through fictional stories which aimed to expose the underlying processes shaping the transitional management of space in Mostar.
