2014, Video documentation and 2015, Video documentation

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 2014, a memorial for victims who died escaping from East Berlin was transported to the outer borders of the EU to draw attention to Europe’s new frontiers and their victims. In 2015, victims of the military blockade of Europe were honoured and buried at the heart of the continent. The Zentrum für Politische Schönheit (Center for Political Beauty) will be showing video documentations of these actions during the Herbstsalon.

The Zentrum für Politische Schönheit offers bus tours to talk about their two actions. Starting at the memorial of old border victims in Berlin Mitte they will go to cemeteries in Gatow and Schöneberg to pay tribute to the victims of the new borders. During the bus tours, participants will report from the two actions.

For 30 participants per tour only. Please ensure to be on time at the meeting point Mauerkreuze at the Reichstagsufer, as advanced reservations cannot be made. Representatives of the German parliament and of the CDU party will be considered with priority. Duration: 3h.
