DESIRES
Often caught between discourses of integration and opposition, we repeatedly dismiss the importance of desire. In this conversation Grada Kilomba and Diana McCarty will address the concept of desire in the post-colonial context, and the urgency of creating new artistic languages that distance themselves from the norms of dominant narratives.

Diana McCarty is a founding editor of reboot.fm 88.4 FM in Berlin. As a cyberpunk in the 90s she was active with netzkultur, net.art and nettime and co founded the faces-l mailing list in 1997. She works at the crossroads of art, politics, gender and technology. McCarty is a proud Chicana from Albuquerque.
